ചിലരുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ നിറം,
ചിലപ്പോഴൊക്കെ പുറത്തറിയും
അവരുടെ വാക്കുകളിൽ,
അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളിൽ,
അവരുടെ മിണ്ടാട്ടത്തിൽ.
മിഴികളിൽ തെളിഞ്ഞു വരും

നല്ലവരെ കണ്ടാൽ,
സ്നേഹം തുളുമ്പി വരും
ചീത്തയെ കണ്ടാൽ,
കോപം ജ്വലിക്കും

നന്മയും തിന്മയും,
ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും ഉള്ളിൽ
സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച്,
പുറത്തു വരും
മുഖംമൂടി വീണുപോകും,
നാടകം അവസാനിക്കും
അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ പുതപ്പിനടിയിൽ,
ഭയം ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കും

സ്വാർത്ഥതയുടെ മറപിന്നിൽ, ദുഷ്ടത കിടക്കും
നല്ല മനുഷ്യന്റെ വേഷം ധരിച്ചു, ചിലർ നടക്കും
പക്ഷേ, അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ,
കറുത്ത ഹൃദയം മിടിക്കും

സത്യം പുറത്തുവരും,
ഒരു ദിവസം എല്ലാവരും അറിയും
ആരുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ നിറം
എന്താണെന്ന്, ലോകം കാണും

വർണ്ണ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ
സഹായത്തിന്റെ നീല,
സഹാനുഭൂതിയുടെ പച്ച.
ചീത്തയുടെ നിറം,
അസൂയയുടെ ചുവപ്പ്,
ദ്വേഷത്തിന്റെ കറുപ്പ്,
അസത്യത്തിന്റെ വെള്ള.

മഴയും മനുഷ്യനും
മഴ നനഞ്ഞാൽ,
മണ്ണിന്റെ നിറം പുറത്തുവരും,
അതുപോലെ, സമ്മർദ്ദത്തിൽ,
മനുഷ്യന്റെ തനി നിറം പുറത്തുവരും.

നമ്മുടെ നിറം

പൊന്നും ചെളിയും
പൊന്നും ചെളിയും,
ഒരേ മണ്ണിൽ നിന്നും ഉണ്ടാകും
എന്നാൽ, അവയുടെ വില,
വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്
